Learn More About My Work
My thoughts:
When I work, thoughts are present but not in control. They pass through rather than direct. I observe them without attaching meaning or judgment, allowing intuition to lead instead. The focus is not on outcome, but on honesty, whether the work reflects what was genuinely present in that moment. If a piece feels raw, unresolved, or quiet, I allow it to remain that way. Truth matters more than refinement.
Philosophy:
I see art as something that exists before it is made. My role is not to invent, but to recognize and bring it forward. This requires stepping away from control and expectation, making space for something deeper to emerge. I trust that there is an internal intelligence that moves through form, rhythm, and gesture. The work comes from following that movement, not forcing it.
Process:
The process begins in stillness. I don’t plan compositions or sketch ideas in advance. Instead, I respond to what arises in the moment. Each mark is guided by instinct rather than logic. I adjust only to remain connected to the flow of the work, not to correct it. A piece is finished when that movement settles, when it feels complete on its own terms.
